Have FRDM-K64F and IAR version 7.10.1.6735, IAR complains about broken options

I have a FRDM-K64F board and IAR version 7.10.1.6735. When I try to load a SDK demo, IAR complains about Broken options. Looking at IAR options, Preprocessor there are no include paths or defined symbols.

What version of IAR was the demo built with and can you supply all the include paths and symbol information for at least one of the demos?

Please, what KSDK version do you use?

KSDK 2.0.0 was compiled and tested with IAR 7.50.0 and KSDK 1.3 with IAR 7.40.3.

I upgraded my IAR to 7.50 and now can build.

when I plug in my board, details show the following:

Version: 0226

Build:   Aug 24 2015 17:06:30

Git Commit SHA: 27a236b9fe39c674a703c5c89655fbd26b8e27e1

Git Local mods: Yes

If I start in bootloader mode I have no info file.

Can I debug with IAR without a hardware debug tool?

Hi David,

sure, you can.

Just right click on your project and choose Options and set Debugger > Simulator
