I'm using HVP-KV46F150M daughter board to study motor control and
I wan't to run PMSM motor under Kinetis Motor Suite.
According to KMS Lab Guide, I installed all the necessary programs,
but I can't communicate with the MCU even though I had bought a new version
of HVP-KV46F150M daughter board which is KMS enabled(ACIM) version.
Below is error message.
Could someone help me?
Have you tried to use the USB connection at the front of the unit?
Also when and where did you buy the HVP KV46 card?
Philip
Hello. Philip
I tried to connect through USB, but error message is same as above picture.
I bought HVP HKV46 CARD at NXP web page about one month ago,
and this card is KMS enabled version as the below image.
For KMS the MCU flash must be loaded with the KMS software. The way to do this though KMS is to make sure the HVP-KV46 virtual mass storage device shows up in your computer as a MSD. Also make sure KDS (for ACIM) or MCUXpresso for PMSM are loaded and properly linked to in KMS. Then within KMS you create an ACIM project for KDS and from the menu select Project -> Load Application Image. It must succeeded. The user's manual walks you through all of these steps. Please refer to this document and follow it's steps.
The front USB is what is used for the KV46 HVP board for KMS as noted in the Users Guide.
If all of this does not work, no worries, you have an alternative to using KMS. I suggest you go to the ACIM reference project from NXP here --> 3-Phase AC Induction Motor Control Design|NXP go to the tools and software and download the reference design install and
This reference design along with the Freemaster tool can aid you in tuning and running your motor.
