Hello,

In the Keil download are header files like MK20D5.h, MK20D10.h etc. which are the CMSIS compliant headers for the K20 platform. Is it allowed to redistribute these headers in an open source (LGPL) licensed project and if so, under which license are they allowed to be redistributed?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

I recommend to ask KEIL support if that is allowed, since you downloaded the files from their site.

Hope this information can help you.

Hi,

I'd be also very much appreciate clarification of this topic. Does Freescale as copyright holder grant the right to redistribute these header files?

Thank you in advance.

Best wishes,

Thomas

Hi,

You can redistribute the Freescale Header Files as long as you maintain the Freescale Copyright title:

/*

** GNU C Compiler

** IAR ANSI C/C++ Compiler for ARM

This is an example to demonstrates what I am referring with the Copyright title.

Hi,

I contacted Keil support. They told me this:

The header files contain:

Copyright: 1997 - 2012 Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

This statement prohibits Keil to allow me anything and any questions regarding this must be answered by Freescale as they are the ones who own the Copyright.

Best wishes,

Finn Wilke
