LPTMR- On the Kl02 can we connect an external Clock to the LPTMR?

Reading the datasheet of the MKL02Z32CAF4R on the device clock specification (page 20) there's a value for an external reference clock for the LPTMR and is set to 16MHz.

How can you utilize this EXTERNAL clock ? do you have to connect it to a specific pin ? I need very precise clock (10PPM) into my Timer LPTMR.

Hi Dave,

  All the chip configuration information like this can be found in Chapter 3 of the KL02 reference manual. In this case, there are 4 possible clock sources for the LPTMR, including an option to use the external reference clock. Look at Section 3.8.2.
