Hi
I need to provide reliable board recognition solution and I will probably use EEPROM memory to store unique identifier, but I would love to use identifier provided by MCU (MKE06). The problem is I need 32bit identifier to match the client system and MCU provides 80bit UID identifier.
I saw a few topics in the forum about this problem but they concerned other families of microcontrollers. In the case of my microcontroller is it possible to share knowledge about what the UID consists of and is it possible to select a smaller number of bits that still guarantee uniqueness?
Best regards
Hi squarerot ,
Unfortunately, we are not able to share the algorithm used for the UID generation. Using the 80 bit UID number is only the recommended way to guarantee device uniqueness.
I appreciate your understanding.
Please let me know if I can help you further.
