I am searching for a possibility to download a program written in the IAR Embedded Workbench with a .s19 or .srec suffix to a Demo Tower TWR-K21F120M without using the IAR Workbench.
In the IAR Workbench I used the PEMICRO Connection Manager Dialog to do the downloads.
I have searched in Google but I could not find a solution to do so without IAR.
Hello,
Thanks to all!
I have purchased a Jlink 19-Pin Cortex Adapter. We already had a JLinkPro from Segger in our office.
This is the best combination. Flashing and Debugging is damn fast.
This is the adapter:
It can be used with the K21F120M and JLinkPro.
Kind regards.
Hello Norbert,
why did you abandon the PEMICRO Connection Manager Dialog?
Does it mean that you had used OpenSDA bootloader?
Is it correct?
If it is correct, you can download .s19 or srec file via USB MSD windows, by dragging and dropping the file.
Best regards,
Yasuhiko Koumoto.

Why not use the Flash utility in CodeWarrior? It handles binary or SREC files.
Or you can install a boot loader and load SREC files via a UART (µTasker Kinetis TWR-K21F120M support )

Hello Norbert Kleininger,
please, did you try it with USBDM? USBDM: USBDM/CF (combined Coldfire V2,3,4/DSC/Kinetis BDM) for JS16
You can download it USBDM | SourceForge.net
Install it, run the flasher, choose the .srec file and flash it.
Best Regards,
Iva
Hello,
I have installed the USBDM_4_10_6_250a_Win.msi and
also the USBDM_Drivers_1_3_0_Win_x64.msi
Then I switched on the board and plugged it to my PC via the Power/OSJTAG Micro USB cable.
When I tried to start the "Firstlevel JS16 Bootloader" it says that it does not find any device to flash it to.
I guess the buest solution for flashing our software is to use JTAG/EZPORT Connector on the board.
We have a Segger JLink Pro but the plug doesn´t fit the small 20pin JTAG/EZPORT on the TWR-K21F120.
Is there any adapter available ?
Kind regards,
Norbert
