Documentation to configure PORTx_PCRn registers for UART

Hi !

I'm new in the community and i'm a bit lost with the freescale documentation ! Maybe someone knows where I can find some document to configure my UART ? I use CW and a K20 !

I was already looking on the freescale research but NOTHING :smileysad:

Hi Joe,

the reference manual of the K20 (http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/K20P100M100SF2V2RM.pdf?fpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Referenc...) contains a table (see chapter 10.3 Pinout) in which the values for the MUX bits in the PORTx_PCRn registers are described. If you need another K20 derivate have a look at K20_100 Product Summary Page ,there are several other reference manuals at the end of the list.

You can refer to UART on TWR-K20D50 using codewarrior with Processor Expert.

You can download the kinetis quick reference user guide from freescale website and also the reference manual for your part number. These have detailed information on programming the UART.
