Hi All,

I got M52233DEMO board with P&E USB Multilink from my colleague. It don't have CD, so i downloaded codewarrior standard edition. I have tried the example program, but when ever tried to connect with host PC and turn the power supply switch to ON position, all the LEDs are start blinking. Power LED is not on at all. I have connected properly and verified the jumper connection. Everything is correct. Can someone help me. I could not able to find more artcle on this except some schematics, user guide from AXIOM.

Thanks in Advance,

Regards,
Baski

Hi,

Thank you for your mail. I don't know by some how the board working now. In one PC its not working due to USB driver problem. Other PC with properly installed Codewarrior IDE works fine with board. If any queries, I am searching for MCF52233 C Compiler manual. I could not able to find in Freescale site. If any one has the manual please mail me.

Thank you,

Regards,
Boss.

There is not a processor-specific compiler manual. For CodeWarrior installations, you'll find the MSL C Manual and the Targeting ColdFire manual in the \Help directory where you installed the software.

This MCF52233DEMO is a very problematic board :smileysad:

I have one that was faulty out of the box and it would not connect to USB at all. I eventually traced the problem to bad soldering. I removed and refitted the HCS12 micro in the BDM section and used new solder and that resolved problems with the BDM I was having. I was finally able to connect after discovering the BDM came to life if I pressed down on the chip.

The board draws an astronomical amount of current, it will, for example, trip the current limiting on my PC motherboard if plugged in with the power switch on. I suspect there's also problems with the CPU itself as it sometimes will run my code, sometimes not and Codewarrior will swear that the code is running perfectly.

Because I can't be sure of whether I have a good board or not or if my code is at fault, I've since scrapped the board and have ordered a new one, which this time I hope will work.
