Eval License Problem

I am trying to get an Eval copy of Codewarrior for MPC5xx working. I have a Windows 7 machine running XP Mode Virtual Machine. I got Codewarrior installed. Requested a license.dat and copied that over to the installation directory. I am still getting a "no valid license" error when I try to start Codewarrior. Any way to fix this? I am attaching the license.dat file that was generated for me by freescale.

Thanks.

Hi Kevin,

Sorry for the delay.

CW for MPC 5xx V8.7 is the last version released supporting MPC5xx family.

This product was released in 2006.

What about CW for MPC5xx V8.7 ?

Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit

  • The installer is not running and can not install CW for MPC5xx V8.7 on win 7 64 bit OS

To avoid problem we recommend to install the tool on Virtual PC or any other XP emulation as VirtualBox for instance.

Is there a solution to run CW for MPC5xx V8.7 under Win 7 ?

It ‘s possible to install the tool on XP machine and to copy the install folder on Win 7 PC.

Execute the \bin\reserver.bat file.

Now you should be able to launch the IDE.

If you’re using P&E interface you must install the new driver.

Go to:

http://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=33

Select FAQs, Manuals & downloads Tab.

Under Downloads, download and install the last driver (version 11 at this time)

Regarding the license file.

I've checked under my account with a Professional Suite and evaluation license file.

I can launch the tool on my Virtual Box + Win XP emulation.

Just is case, attached you will find a temp license file.

Please use it.

If you've a problem let me know.

Have a great day,
Pascal
