I built an .ELF file using Code Warrior for MPC55XX and tried to debug it using the PE Micro USB MULTI-LINK Interface. When pressing the bebug button I get the message 'Can't read symbolocs for target <generator.elf>'. My question is how do I get the PE Micro Multilink USB Interface device to step through the elf code loaded onto my MPC5674 board.
Hi Barton,
There are several versions of Multilink supporting MPC5xxx:
- USB Qorivva Multilink -> http://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=15320021
- USB Multilink Universal -> http://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=15320137
- USB Multilink Universal FX -> P&E Microcomputer Systems - USB Multilink Universal FX - USB Multilink Universal FX All-In-One Devel...
To check the configuration I recommend you to:
- create a sample project with the wizard with your configuration,
- build the project,
- launch the debugger.
The application should be load and you should be able to debug it.
Have a great day,
Pascal Irrle
