Hi,

Is it possible to compile and deploy the latest mainline kernels from kernel.org for  powerpc QorIQ based boards ?(T2080, T4240).

Or do we have to use kernels from NXP SDK?

You could use Linux Kernel from Yocto SDK release

readme - qoriq-components/yocto-sdk - Repo manifest for QorIQ Yocto SDK

NXP Linux Kernel

url = git://source.codeaurora.org/external/qoriq/qoriq-components/linux

Thank you very much I will use them.

But it is interesting that mainline kernel (kernel.org) is continuously  updating the drivers, configs  i. e for NXP related boards .
