when i debug mpc5607b,there is a error "EPPC GDI Protocol Adapter : Can't connect. The Debugger can not connect to the P&E device",what the problem
Hello,
could you please specify, which debug probe and which IDE you use for connecting to the board?
The board you are trying connected to is NXP evaluation board or you own design board?
If it is your own design, please be sure all power supplies are correct and microcontroller is not in reset state.
Regards,
Martin
Does all voltage supplies pin need to connect the power?

Hello,
from the figure you sent me, it looks like you use some LQFP adapter, but I do not know, what the adapter connected to.
Could you please show me the board the adapted connected to? Could you please also send me schematic of the board the adapted is connected to?
Also, where you have connected debug probe and which one?
Regards,
Martin
The file is my adapter I used. I use multilink universal to debug the mpc5607b,I also try to use cyclone max to connect the ic, the software is PROGPPCNEXUS ,and it’s fail too.
The probe connect figure:
Jtag => mpc5607b
reset => 17
TMS => 81
TDO => 82
TDI => 87
TCK => 88
VDDE => 84
GND => 83
And I supply the entern power 5v to the IC.

Hello,
as I wrote you before, I do not know, what board is the adapter connected to. The photo you sent me shows some adapted board with socket, but this cannot definitely work standalone even if power supply is connected.
Please show me a board with power supply, decoupling capacitors and all other parts, which are necessary for correct microcontroller working.
Also, please send me a figure, where debug probe is connected and tell me, which debug probe you use. Without this information, I am not able to provide you any other support.
Best Regards,
Martin
Hello
I want to know how to download the flash to the ic. But now I can’t connect to the mpc5607b.
Thank you
Zhou
Hello
I have send the figure I use the debug probe. Now I’m want now how to fix the problem.
Thank you
Best Regards,

Hello,
because I have no idea what is the board you are using (from my point of view this is some kind of adapter only, but I do not know, because you did not share schematic so far), I cannot tell you, what board you can use.
So, could you please provide me some schematic for the board you have connect debug probe to? But from my point of view, the best way is buy NXP evaluation board (see the link below) or design your own board.
NXP provide following boards for MPC560xB microcontrollers.

Hello
This is the debug probe I use ,the figure: USB Multilink Universal port A
[cid:image006.jpg@01D4FF9E.C73EBC00]
And I connet the ic direct like this :
.
I don’t know whether it debug without the decoupling capacitors and all other parts, because I use the st ic like this for download file and debug. This’s my first time to use the mpc560xb. I don’t know the difference.
If it’s not work like this, do I need to make a board with reference to the TRKMPC5604BSCHREVC.pdf file download form https://www.nxp.com/downloads/en/schematics/TRK-MPC5606B_SCH.pdf?
Best Regards,
Zhou
