  1. Is there internal clamping (protection) diode present on ADC pin?  Below the snap shot for ADC equivalent ckt from datasheet we could see there are internal clamps present kindly confirm.

Hi PRIYANKA

yes, there is protection diode as depicted on Figure 67. 12-bit ADC Input

what about internal protection on normal GPIOs and other interface pins like SPI, I2C, CSI etc

Thanks for the reply igor.

Are these diodes also connected in same way as that of ADC?Can we get the characteristic data for these diodes.?

Hi sadatan

yes they are connected in similar way, characteristic data for these diodes

is not available.

What about SPI Pins...If there is overshoot of 0.5V on any SPI pins like MOSI, Clock , MISO and NSS then will this result in conduction of protection diode and damage of these pins?

Hi Igor,

Thanks for the reply.

But Is this true for MOSI and Clock signal of SPI as well? We are getting a waveform as attached here? Will that work?

Thanks for reply Igor.

Can you please confirm that whether these signals waveforms I have attached in previous question are OK or not?

Also what is the time for which this overshoot of 0.6V is OK if my processor is working on 528MHZ?
