Looking for a streamer-1.0 solution for the iMX535??

gstreamer is the only solution we have identified that has hardware acceleration for the iMX535.  We have tried software only renderers, but found that they will consume all available CPU, to the point where the decoders will start dropping frames (very poor quality video). Does anyone know of a streamer-1.0 solution for the iMX535??

Hi Kemi,

Download the community yocto, it has gstreamer 1.0 on hardware for iMX53.

Bottom line: yocto DOES NOT have imx5 hardware support, according to their documentation. It does have gstreamer-1.0 support, but it is software decode only.

Is still true/documentation is accurate?

Need gstreamer-1.0 support drivers for the chip level media processors for VPU - H/W decoder, and the IPU and DP - frame buffer and display interface.
