Can a program on the LPCEXpresso54608 be downloaded and debugged without Link2?

Just to follow up on Jennie's post. There is a debug interface built into the LPCXpresso54608 board that is functionally an LPC-Link2. Alternatively an external debug probe can also be used if required.

The board doesn't show up either as a VSP or any other way. At this point I'm assuming it's defective.

Maybe you can follow this  link to update the on-board firmware to see if this can fix the problem, in case the problem is not on the board defective.

Hi,

LPCXpresso 54008 on board debug probe supports CMSIS-DAP/SEGGER J-Link interface.

There is no option to simulate program without a board under MCUXpresso IDE.
