I have a Original FRDM-KL27Z board and it is using MKL27Z644 . My customer would like to use MKL27Z256V . My customer will be using the MCUXpresso IDE and I need to deliver a MCUXpresso SDK that is running MKL27Z256V instead of the original MKL27Z644 on the board .
I have de-soldered MKL27Z644 and replace with a MK27Z256V with the same pin package .
I downloaded the MCUXpresso SDK ( from the SDK builder in the web) that is supporting the original MCU ( which is the MKL27Z644) on the FRDM-KL27Z board . How do I make the changes on this downloaded SDK that can support MK27Z256V ??
Please advice
I'm working with the KL27Z as well.
One issue to note, is that there are 2 pinouts for the KL27Z devices
KL27P64M48SF6 specs MKL27Z128Vxx4/MKL27Z256Vxx4 Vout33/pin5 Vregin/Pin6
KL27P64M48SF2RM & KL27P64M48SF2 specs MKL27Z64Vxx4(R)... USB_VDD/Pin5 PortEx/Pin6
The FRDM-KL27Z uses the earlier version that requires the external regulator
Its sounds to me like you need to download the SDK for the part family, rather than the one specifically for the FRDM board. Section 4.2.1, Important Notes for SDK users" of the MCUXpresso IDE v10.0.0 User Guide, contains a few notes on this area.

I found the problem . My Freedom Board comes with P & E Micro firmware debugger and I changes it to Segger Jlink and it works . Though it works , but I do not understand why it cannot work P & E Micro debugger firmware but was able to work with Segger Jlink firmware debugger .
Any reply ??
