MPC5748G: How to implement diagnosis signals with GPIO?

Dear Team:

We have learned about the difference between MII and MII_Lite, however we still need to use both FEC modules of MPC5748G. So the question is, is it possible to simulate TX_ER, RX_ER, COL, and CRS with GPIO?

It would be great if we can get an example.

Appreciate your help!

Best Regards,

Wang

Hi Wang,

If both ENET modules are needed, then both must operate in MII-lite mode. In this mode TX_ER, RX_ER, COL, and CRS signals are not used.

Dear Petr:

Thank you for your reply.

Actually both ENET modules are going to talk to external nodes with full function, so we are wondering if there is any way to simulate those signals to make it fully compatible.

Do we have a solution for this?

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Wang.
