If, I disconnect the LPC-Link while the LPCxpresso IDE is open I cannot ever connect to the debugger again.  I have to restart the computer! (winxp)

I have:
reinstalled LPCxpresso
uninstalled/reinstalled the device under device manager

If I close the IDE and THEN disconnect/reconnect the debugger then, after restarting the IDE I can still connect.

I am doing this to reset the board so I can run code without starting the debugger.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The problem with "pulling the plug" so to speak, is you have effectively stranded (left running) two processes used by the LPCXpresso IDE to communicate with the target. This may hamper your ability to restart the IDE. You can disconnect the debugger, and leave the board executing. Please review:
