Hi dude,
I read the topic "Recovery of board" of "lpcxpresso getting started" article and realized that it would be great if some warning pop-up that will cause disability of debug mode. (this is what I suggest) :)
As for newbie, it is normal that to make mistake but it should not face big difficulty of hardware problem. It will take a lot time and slow down the progress of evaluating Cortex architecture.
