Unable to commpile imx-3.14.38-6QP_ga(Yocto fido) in 32 bit Ubuntu PC

Hi all,

I am trying to build imx-3.14.38-6QP_ga in my PC.

I am using a 32 bit Ubuntu PC and here compilation is giving some error.

qt4-x11-free and many other QT  related packages are failing(attached screen shot of fail messages). But when I compiled same in 64 bit Ubuntu it did not give any error.

Kindly help me to solve this issue.

Hello,

According to section 5.1 (Build configurations) of “Freescale_Yocto_Project_User's_Guide.pdf”,

“imx6qpsabreauto” and “imx6qpsabresd”  are supported configurations for the i.MX6QP.

For example, from section 5.6.2 (Frame Buffer image on i.MX 6QuadPlus SABRE-AI) :

$ DISTRO=fsl-imx-fb MACHINE=imx6qpsabreauto source fsl-setup-release.sh –b build-fb

$ bitbake fsl-image-qt5

  Please to use the recent Linux BSP(s).

i.MX 6 Series Software and Development Tool|NXP

Please try to provide much memory for the host, at least in swap area.

Of course 64-bit host is more preferable.
