Hello Everybody,

I have a very strange issue with obtaining CodeWarrior floating license. Everything works fine on a local network. Unfortunately when I have the laptop on a slow network (WiFi or VPN) I can obtain the floating license very rarely (1 from 10 tries). The error is below:

No valid license key was found for this installation of CodeWarrior Development Studio. Please register your product by following the instructions on the registration card or by contacting license@freescale.com.

Cannot connect to license server

The server (lmgrd) has not been started yet, or

the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the

port or hostname in the license file has been changed.

Feature:       Win32_CWIDE_Limited

Server name:   SRVV-LIC01-PRG

License path:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Freescale\CodeWarrior for ColdFire -

    V7.1\license.dat

FLEXlm error:  -15,570

For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End User Manual,

available at "www.macrovision.com".

I have already tried:

  • Turn off antivirus program
  • Turn off local firewall
  • Add FLEXLM_TIMEOUT = 10000000 to system environment variables

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Hi,

Can you refer to the doc:

How to install/check if my floating license file is running ? (known issues)

Following the problem you meet I recommend you to use the port-daemon@host.

Regards

Have a great day,
