Hello together,
My company uses i.MX6Dual for our project.
According to PCB layout constraints, we are allowed to choose 1 between 2 options: JTAG or USB OTG (It means if we choose USB OTG, JTAG must NOT be available)
Could you please help me clarify which one we should uses for bringing up the hardware? Because JTAG license is very expensive.
Thanks,
Tan
Hello,
generally, when board hardware is OK, USB OTG may be quite enough to check
memory - in order to find its optimal parameters - and load OS and applications.
But for intensive software debugging (if needed), JTAG is more preferable (for bare
metal applications practically the only) solution.
Have a great day,
Yuri

Dear Mr. Yuri,
If we use USB OTG could you please describe more clearly some questions as below?
Thanks,
Tan
Thank you so much
One more questions, so how can we can test other components such as: UART, NAND flash, MMC/SD test, USB test...?
