How to get max power output in Maxstream modules using SMAC? - MC13192 modules

SMAC codebase is unable to calibrate the power amplifier and LNA on Maxstream (MC13192) modules(XBee and XBeePro). Hence the maximum power output cannot be achieved. The distance can only be achieved  when using the 802.15.4 code instead of SMAC. Can anyone let me know how can we optimize and calibrate the parameters for receiver sensitivity and output power (or whatsoever required) so that we can achieve the maximum distance between two Maxstream modules using SMAC like what we can get using 802.15.4 code? Please help me in this regard.
I am in urgent need for this information.

Thanks and Regards,
Mou

Hi Mou,

Take a look at the MC13192 Reference Manual, SPI Register 0x12, PA_lvl.  You have some control over the power level and drive level of the transmitter.  You can see what the settings are on your current system and crank them up.  Table 6-3 shows that you can get up to 4.1dBm, which may help.   The default setting is for just under 0dBm.

    Thanks,
