Thermal measurement uboot IMX6

I am trying to get an idea of exactly what the temperature routine in u-boot imx is measuring.  It mentions BM_ANADIG_TEMPSENSE0_XXX  registers in the read_cpu_temperature() function.

Is this measuring die temperature? Casing temperature?
