Hi Jack,

if you use system clock 120MHz then theoretical maximal baud rate is 7,5 Mb/s according this calculation:

baud rate = fsys / (16 * prescaler)

baud rate = 120 000 000 / 16 = 7,5Mb/s.

But you have to remember parasitic effects of the bus and potential error between transmitter and reciever.
