Hi, I am using MPC8248 evaluation system and it has Embedded Linux for the EP8248
Version 1.10, that came in the CD with package. I can compile the kernel, make image file, and load it to the board.

I want to add some more packages to the OS, for example some rpms or some servers. Does anybody has any idea how can I add them to the image file??

Hi there,

some more information for you:

Freescale based BSP are either based on PCS (which has been EOLed) and LTIB, you may want to check the following links to learn more about this environment:

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?nodeId=02VS0l320822D022DB

for BSP not based on those environments, I would recommend to contact the BSP producer support line.

Hope this helps...
