Can the i.MX6 VPU hardware decode and play a 1080p60 stream (H.264/MPEG2)?

Hello,

Can the i.MX6 VPU hardware decode and play an incoming 1080p60 stream (H.264/MPEG2)? 

Does it play, but some input frames are simply dropped, perhaps resulting in 1080p30 actually out of VPU? 

If frames are dropped, is it visually even or visually choppy?

Please take a look at chapter 9.6.2 in the i.MXQ reference manual.

The VPU encoding capabilities for H264 and MPEG2 are 1080p, 30 fps
