Hi, All. Have anybody an experience of installing Fedora linux to P2020RDB board (P5020E processor) or similar? Is it even possible?
QorIQ Linux SDK v1.7 offers Yocto build tools, but I'm interested in Fedora distribution.
The fedoraproject faq says: BM POWER servers are the only systems fully supported by Fedora for Power at this time.
But, as I know, Kontron EZ3-VX3230 computer has preinstalled fedora linux...
May I know why you want this, does not the Yocto build meet or include some of your requirements?
Hi, lunminliang, thanks for your reply.
As a result he did it?
I needed fedora, because it is requirement of my employer.
It's necessary to provide an environment, maximally compatible to legacy system, for old application without recompling.
Hi
Yes, did it on Debian 32b on e500mc. Will this way your employer accept? file system from distro while kernel and u-boot from SDK.
Regards
Lunmin
e500mc has normal floating point, so it's very different from trying to get a standard distribution to run on e500v2 (it's not clear from the original post whether they're asking about p2020 or p5020).
Sorry, I was wrong. Of course, I meant p2020 processor.
Hi,
As I know, someone have tried to use a file system from a distribution like Debian or Fedora in a hybird manner, with kernel and u-boot from SDK.
Have a great day,
Regards
