M9KA2 marking code on a SOIC 8

I have a circuit with a SOIC 8 IC marked with the code M9KA2. I think it is a Freescale microcontroller, but I'm not sure.

Could it be MC9RS08KA2?

Hi,

Yes, I have a board designed a couple of years ago with that part and the component is marked M9KA2, next line is RMAKDC. Part is a MC9S08KA2 in SOIC8

Hope this helps,

Hi,

It could be a new marking but the SOIC KA2's I have are marked with M9RS8KA2.  Do you see the little Freescale logo (looks like steps)?  There also should be 2 more lines of text.  The first is a letter code and the bottom is a date code.

Hope this helps!
