MIMXRT1021CAG4B SDRAM WORK FAULT

Hello community

We designed our custom board. Our design has similar structer with MIMRT1020-EVK. SDRAM is same, QSPI Nor Flash is Winbond's W25Q128JVP and chip is MIMXRT1021CAG4B.

MicroPython is running on EVK board sucsesfully and we started to develop our software with MicroPython on EVK.

When we try to run MicroPython on our custom board prototype, we had a problem.

• When we upload the Micropython firmware to our custom board, it is not working. Custom board is attaching the COM port but REPL screen doesn't come up.
• Then we build MicroPython which SDRAM not available and upload the firmware to our custom board, everything works well.
• Then we replace the chip and SDRAM on EVK with MIMXRT1021CAG4B and SDRAM we purcashed. The EVK also did not work after this operation.

Also, which SDRAM are you using? Just for double check, could you please make sure you have the devices (chip and SDRAM) connected properly? You could look to the RT1020EVK schematic and Hardware Development Guide here.
