Implications of using PMIC_STBY_REQ

We are looking to use the PMIC_STBY_REQ pin of the RT1064 to signal a reset to an external watchdog circuit. Issuing the reset will result in the watchdog circuit cycling the 3.3 volts to the RT1064. For our purpose, this is no different than using any other GPIO on the chip. However, we are running low on GPIO's therefore would like to use this pin if possible. This is easy enough to test on our side but we would also like to make sure there are not any implications which may not have been clear in the reference manual.

Hi Karl Fraasch ,

From the RT1064 reference manual, we can get the related PMIC_STBY_REQ pin information.

So, I think you can use this pin as the GPIO5_IO02 to control the external modules. You need to set the mux as ALT5, just make sure it is not the CCM pin function.

This pin in default is the CCM pin function:

Wish it helps you!

If you still have questions about it, please kindly let me know.

Have a great day,
Kerry
