Hi,
Greetings!
Running the evkmimxrt1020_hello_world_virtual_com example.
When I am using semi hosting, I can see the "hello world" output in mcuxpresso 's console.
Attached screen capture.
I was expecting to see the output in a Terminal emulator, such as Putty or Tera Term;
Tried switchng to the Terminal be setting
Quick Settings -> SDK Debug Console-> UART Console
But, I still do not see anything on Putty/Tera Term.
Any idea, what could be wrong ?
Thanks,
Manu
Replying to my own post ..
I did some experimenting.
The reason why there is no terminal output was there was no vcp driver.
Device Manager looked thus (no_vcp.png):
I tried to force load mbed vcp driver. The load process said, it would not work with the hardware..
Still thought, I should give it a go...
Loaded the mbed vcp driver (mbed_vcp.png).
Connected Putty over COM10
And it worked!
Lucky me, I guess...
I tried this demo on my side, with my Win10. It worked as expected.
There is a readme file for this demo
SDK_2.8.2_EVK-MIMXRT1020\boards\evkmimxrt1020\demo_apps\hello_world_virtual_com

Hi Daniel,
Win7 at my side. Maybe that explains. There were some other issues. Windows 7 does not have the USB Audio Class 2.0 drivers as well, regarding the USB Audio examples.
Thanks,
Manu
