Hi

I watched this thread https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-RT/IMXRT1064-Power-Up-sequence/m-p/994938/thread-id/5905 .

And I have more question.

If I don't have a backup battery then the processor can connect all power at same time?

If it is yes, I can using only one LDO or converter without on-chip DCDC?

Hello,

Yes, if the lowest sleep power mode(SNVS Mode) is not necessary in your app, SNVS_IN can be POR together with other power domain to implement true one LDO or DC-DC regulator in system.

Thanks for your reply.

I referenced the "IMXRT1064CEC.pdf".

In chapter 4.1.1 Table.7 Absolute maximum ratings, I saw VDD_SOC_IN max 1.6V.

To simplify the power supply.

I think there are 2 way to achieve. Am I right?

1. one LDO-3.3V and using on chip DCDC conveter

2. one LDO-3.3V and one LDO-1.1V

 

I'm first using this type processor.

I was using simple MCU before.

For the RT application, Don't use one LDO-1.1V. Because VDD_SOC_IN is "Core supplies input voltage" .You may refer to the design for the EVK.

So I can using LDO-3.3V supply all processor power except VDD_SOC_IN.

And VDD_SOC_IN use internal DCDC to supply.

Is my understanding correct?
