Difference between FlexPWM FORCE_OUT and EXT_SYNC

Hello,

We need to synchronize 20 flexPWM outputs on the same board using a i.MX RT1064. For this I saw in the reference manual that there is 2 signals I could use: FORCE_OUT or EXT_SYNC.

What is the difference between these two signals and which one should I use?

Hello @h_bouchard,

The FORCE_OUT signal can select between eight signal sources: 

One of these is the EXT_SYNC signal, this can be linked to one of the external pines to use as a trigger for different events.
