Dear NXP support,

We'd appreciate it if you could help in enabling the internal PLL as REF clock for the PCIe on imx8mq.

Latest good kernel 4.14.98

https://source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/linux-imx/tree/drivers/pci/dwc/pci-imx6.c?h=imx_4.14.98_2...

We'd like to have the same option on 5.4.24:

https://source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/linux-imx/tree/drivers/pci/controller/dwc/pci-imx6.c?h=re...

Let's know whether NXP is planning to bring this feature back on 5.X kernels.

We tried to make the 4.14.98 approach work on 5.4.24, but w/out any success.

Thanks in advances,

Valentin.

Hi Valentin

one can try solution with "ext_osc" in dts as in boundary devices board:

Best regards
