iMX8mn-EVK, no LPM MIPI commands sent to LCD in u-boot

Hi,

We are trying to connect iMX8mn ddr4 EVK to a third party LCD via MIPI DSI. As it is suggested elsewhere in posts on this forum, I started the development by copying raydium-rm67191.c. The u-boot is NXP/Yocto code.

Even with unmodified raydium driver, we see no LPM transactions on the MIPI bus, everything seems to be sent in HS mode. And our LCD docs mandate using of the LPM for initial configuration.

I tried Yuri's suggestion from here:
https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors/iMX8MM-MIPI-DSI-commands-before-enabling-the-CLK/td-p/1...

Similar to the sequence seen in chapter 13.6.4.2 Programming Model, I tried first forcing ULPS, then taking the bus out of ULPS mode, using bits in DSI_ESCMODE register. Alas, the ULPS clock and lane status bits in DSI_STATUS never showed any change. And all subsequent generic and DCS writes failed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
