Hi Yuri,
you have mentioned the A53 address space is limited to 4GB
How should I interpret the two different memory maps for Cortex A53 and M4
A53:
1_0000_0000 1_3FFF_FFFF DDR Address 1024MB DDR Memory (Quad-A53 only
4000_0000 FFFF_FFFF DDR Address 3072MB DDR Memory (All modules)
M4:
4000_0000 BFFF_FFFF DDR Address 2048MB DDR Memory
Does this mean A53 and M4 Cores utilize 6GB DDR Memory space in total?
The total addressable space is still 8GB (2^33bit according Reference Manual 3.2.5.7) or is it mandatory, that the M4 memory space is within the 4GB boundary?
Regards,
Matthias
Hello,
Address area 4000_0000 - FFFF_FFFF is 3GB Memory accessible for all modules,
say also for GPU.
Address area 1_0000_0000 - 1_3FFF_FFFF is 1GB Memory is accessible for 64-bit
Quad-A53 only. (GPU cannot access it.)
Address area 4000_0000 - BFFF_FFFF DDR is 2GB part of the mentioned 3GB
Memory, accessible for CM4.
Regards,
Yuri.
