Yocto can't fetch imx-gpu-viv-5.0.11.p8.6-hfp.bin

Hi,

I'm using a Variscite's SoM based on i.MX6q. I'm trying to compile (from Yocto krogoth) the GPU drivers since JavaFX depend on this. But I'm getting not found error (HTTP 404). Can anybody confirm about this?

Tested this as well, older versions are online, for example the 8.4:

http://www.nxp.com/lgfiles/NMG/MAD/YOCTO/imx-gpu-viv-5.0.11.p8.4-hfp.bin

If you don't provide a binary name, the website returns by default the "currently unavailable" message. So that's normal.

But we will check why the v8.6 is not there.

I discretely tested a few of these missing files and they can be found now on the server http://www.nxp.com/lgfiles/NMG/MAD/YOCTO/...

So try building it again, hopefully it has been fully resolved.

I am trying to build the Yocto Morty version which is failing to fetch: imx-gpu-viv-5.0.11.p8.7-hfp.bin

Is there any workaround for this? Or are the files available elsewhere?

I'm evaluating an i.MX6-based hardware-module for a customer, but currently, because of the missing files, there's not much I can do since monday. Is there a timeline when the following resources will be available again?

If they do not become available soon again, I'm afraid I have to recommend not to use an i.MX6-based hardware (or hardware depending on NXP-products generally) because of a lack of support. It should be possible to bring these files up again within a few days.

Thanks to your advice I could circunvent the problem by using this patch: meta-fsl-bsp-release change version of imx-gpu-viv from 8.6 to 8.4 · GitHub

I'll keep using this by now. I didn't had the chance to boot up a image yet. At any problem I came back here :smileyhappy:
