What are the valid voltages for the power rails in iMX6? Can I for instance choose if I want to supply NVCC_SD3 with 1V8 and NVCC_SD1 with 3V3? I assume there is some documentation describing what the voltage ranges are for the power rails? Could you then point me to that document?

BR,

Emil

Hi Emil,

You can find the operating voltage ranges in the datasheet. Here's how you find it:

- Go to the i.MX6 family webpage: http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/taxonomy.jsp?code=IMX6X_SERIES

- On the left side of the page, select the processor you want to use (i.MX6D, DL, Q, S or SL).

- On the next page, click on the datasheet button.

- On the next page, you'll find a table, in which you will find the datasheets for the automotive, consumer or industrial versions of the i.MX6 processor you selected.

- Locate the "Electrical Characteristics" chapter (usually chapter 4).

- This is, for example, the direct link to the MX6Q automotive datasheet:

     http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/data_sheet/IMX6DQAEC.pdffpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Data Sheets&WT_VENDOR=FREESCALE&WT_FILE_FORMAT=pdf&WT_ASSET=Documentation

(Please don't try to click it since it has a space in the middle, you have to copy and paste it into your browser).

- Operating ranges are listed in table 6. As you can see, your assumption is correct, you can supply SD3 with 1V8 and SD1 with 3V3.

Best regards.

Jorge.
