Serial download for manufacturing tool

For i.MX 8X EVM Kit usage, Could you please let us know how to use the serial download mode for Manufacturing tool? It seems be not enough to understand the procedure of usage.

What kind of tools can be supported in the serial boot mode?

Hi,

With the EVK you can use uuu which replaced the older MFGtool, it works very well over USB and straight into eMMC. You will need to get uuu https://emteria.com/kb/uuu-linux either as source or prebuilt.

Attached are a few nxp docs.

After building it's a matter of:

Program imx8mmini-evk via USB

USB port J301 Downlaod

Set switches for download:

SW1101 1010xxxxxx
SW1102 xxxxxxxxx0

sudo uuu -b emmc_all core-image-base-imx8mm-lpddr4-evk.wic

Set switches to eMMC boot:

SW1101 0110110010
SW1102 0001010100

Reboot
