Thanks for your reply.. I have tried MfgTools.. with and without Rootfs.
And I get the following error:
Something to do with PMIC. not sure about the fine detail at the mo!!
Any idea ?

this is different board than MCIMX6ULL EVK and images are
different for those boards.

Please find the board images/ID attached.
Is it common that the supplied sdcard image has errors booting ?
Thanks for your help, due to being poorly I have been off work for awhile so trying to get up to speed with
Linux development. The goal is to add hardware, modify the devkit and write some C code/device drivers/tasks etc
Interested in IoT; Lora, WiFi etc.
I hope to get the SDK /JTAG operational soon !

not, as Demo Images from i.MX Software and Development Tools | NXP
are tested with reference boards.
