ISL79987 Support For I.MX8MP MPU

Hello,

We are planning to use ISL79987 with i.MX8MP MPU to decode 4 analog ntsc cameras to mipi csi. Is this possible? Is iMX8MP support 4 virtual channels on a single mipi-csi?

There are some knowledge-base applications on IMX6DQ.

But no examples for i.MX8MP and I've seen a post about iMX8MP mipi csi does not support 4 virtual mipi csi channels which is the concept I think  ISL79987 uses. Can't we use ISL79987 with i.MX8MP for displaying 4 analog cam outputs at the same time?

If not, is it possible to use it with single ntsc camera at a time? At least 4 connected ntsc camera 1 displayed at a time. If so driver in the kernel sufficient for our case?

Hello,

I've checked the given link and I can see that there is a driver for the isl7998x.c at drivers/staging/media/imx/isl7998x.c. But the current source tree already has similar driver at drivers/media/i2c/isl7998x.c. Which one should we take into account?
