I.MX6UL tools for Secure JTAG mode

Hello,

I try to launch imx6UL with secure JTAG mode. In application note AN4686 from 2014, I can see only Lauterbach can support this feature. Is something changed? Is a chance to work in secure mode with any more common tool, like Olimex with OpenOCD?

Hello,
This OpenOCD patch works with Secure JTAG mode. I applied these changes and tested them on code revision 970a12aef with Olimex.

one can look at rev.2 2020 AN4686   https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN4686.pdf

there is also support for Arm DS-5/ARMDS DSTREAM debug tool.

I am afraid it was not tested on nxp side.
