Dear all,

We are working on imx8qm-mek running on Android 9 - auto. I have gone through the couple of posts from this forum regarding HDMI-RX functionality.

I have used fsl-imx8qm-mek-hdmi-in.dts as reference and modified fsl-imx8qm-mek-car.dts. After flashing completed build on MEK platform  i am receiving below log.

[ 4.424144] [drm:hdmirx_init] *ERROR* NO HDMI RX FW running
[ 4.429740] mxc-hdmi-rx 58268000.hdmi_rx: mxc hdmi rx init failed
s[ 4.435919] mxc-hdmi-rx 58268000.hdmi_rx: mxc hdmi rx probe failed

So here i see that HDMI RX FW is not running and so the error is thrown.

I found the firmware are locate here :

vendor/nxp/linux-firmware-imx/firmware/hdmi/cadence/hdmirxfw.bin

vendor/nxp-opensource/imx-mkimage/iMX8QM/hdmirxfw.bin

I need to understand how i can use these firmware to resolve the above issue ? It will be great if someone can throw some light here.

Hi Amit

image should have correct signed HDMI RX firmware, however according

to p.21 i.MX 8QuadMax Automotive and Infotainment Applications Processors

currently HDMI RX is not supported, relevant software and documentation may be provided later

after validation.
