FlexSPI and BEE in i.MX.RT1061

Hi, I have a question about the i.MX.RT 1061 series.

There are two FlexSPIs in the i.MX.RT1061.

And there is a BEE for running an encrypted boot image.

Both FlexSPI and FlexSPI2 peripherals can use BEE? (not at the same time)

While looking at AN12852, I want to do the following.

- Unencrypted boot image is stored in external flash memory and executed through FlexSPI peripheral.

- My software (running from FlexSPI peripheral) reads another external flash memory where encrypted data values are stored through FlexSPI2 peripheral and decrypts it through BEE at the same time.

Is this a possible scenario by design of the i.MX.RT106X series?

Thank you.

Hi @Daehyeon ,

From theory, both the FlexSPI and FlexSPI2 peripherals can use BEE, as you know, the external connect memory to the flexSPI and FlexSPI2 will have different memory addresses.

  So, you can use it.

Wish it helps you!

Best Regards,
