Ethernet on QWKS-SCMIMX6DQ with QWKS-ETHACC?

Hello,

I'm using a QWKS-SCMIMX6DQ "Quick Start Board" with a QWKS-ETHACC daughter-board for ethernet access.

I've followed the exact instruction at:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/QWKSEACSG.pdf

But when I connect the ethernet cable the led on the connector remains OFF and "ifconfig" doesn't list any "eth0" interface (only loopback).

The 3V3_LED on the ETHACC is ON but it seems like the card is not operating.

Is it possible that I'm missing some kernel driver? I'm using the default microSD card supplied with the "Quick Start Board".

QWKS-ETHACC only works with Rev >= C, mine is Rev D.

Thanks,

Ron

I have the same problem using the ethacc with the qwks board.

Although the system sees and configures the ethernet interface

using the sdcard image mentioned, a reset of the board causes

the system to go into an endless loop of

   IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
fec 2188000.ethernet eth0: Link is Down
   IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready

The kernel is 4.1.15-2.0.0+g7a75e7f

The boards are

QWKS-ETHACC Rev X3 (per the box)

QWKS-ETHACC, SCH-29206 REV A

QWKS-ETHACC, 700-29206 REV X1

QWKS-SCMIMX6DQ, SCH-28927 REV D

QWKS-SCMIMX6DQ, 700-28927 REV B

What is going on?

Got it.  The problem was a flaky ETHACC board.

The problem disappears completely with a second ETHACC.

Works like a charm, thanks!

(I just used wayland/fsl-image-qt5-imx6dqscm-1gb-qwks-rev3.sdcard from the demo images.)
