We would like to drive the display output from an i.MX 7Dual SABRE Board onto an HDMI monitor. Is this possible? Can someone please share more details on this.
Hi Anil,
Yes, you can find documentation in the Supporting Information Section.
The specific information below can be found in the iMX Linux Users Guide.
Boot up the system through RFS in eMMC by HDMI:
• For i.MX 6 boards:
U-Boot > setenv mmcargs 'setenv bootargs ${bootargs} root=/dev/mmcblk3p2 rootwait
rw video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=RGB24'
• For i.MX 7Dual SABRE boards:
U-Boot > setenv mmcargs 'setenv bootargs ${bootargs} root=/dev/mmcblk2p2 rootwait
rw video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=RGB24'

Carlos

Hi Carlos,
Thank you so much for your answer. In fact while going through the data sheet for i.MX7 (IMX7DCEC_iMX7_Dual_data_sheet), I've observed that only 2 types of display interfaces are supported, Parallel RGB and MIPI-DSI. Whereas the i.MX7 Dual SABRE Board claims to support HDMI.
A bit confusing!!!
Warm Regards,
Anil
Hi Anil,
Could you add the HDMI monitor support for i.MX7 Sabre board? I am also facing display issue with i.MX7.
Please let me know, which display will work for i.MX7 Sabre board.

Sunitha
