Hi NXP,

We are facing some issue with hwclock utility on our new Imx6sl board. The only difference between two is SoC revision.

Older SoC revision:-MC IMX6L8DVN10AB BTJD1510

Newer SoC revision:- MC IMX6L8DVN10AA XAA1320

Please help.

Regards

Sandeep S

Hi Sandeep

"AA" part is old 1.0 rev. not recommended for new designs, as shown on

Figure 1. Part Number Nomenclature—i.MX 6SoloLite i.MX6SL Datasheet

http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/data_sheet/IMX6SLCEC.pdf

"AB" rev.1.2 latest silicon version of i.MX6SL. It addressed a few issues
one of which is ERR007926.

Best regards
igor

Hi Igor

Thanks for the information.Unfortunately we already have few boards with Rev1.0.

Still I am not able to understand what exactly is causing hwclock --systohc to hang.

When I am executing this command on on Rev1.0 board system got hanged whereas its working on Rev1.2 board.[Same Binaries]

Hi Sandeep

one can try to debug it using AN4553 Using Open Source Debugging Tools for Linux on i.MX Processors

Issue was with SoC revision. After upgrading to Soc version 1.2 hwclock is working fine.
