Hi,

We are testing M4 cores in IMX8QM with pre-build and compiled binaries, in this M4 Core0 is working without any issues.

The M4 Core1 is not working with both the pre-build and compiled binaries. We are able to access the M4 Core0 and Core1 UARTs pin as GPIO in U-boot. We are using 4.14.78-GA BSP release SCFW.

Hi Artur,

We are following same commands for creating M4 binaries for booting from u-boot and booting from ROM options.
The M4 Core0 is booting with both the boot options (We are getting output messages in M4-Core0 UART).
The M4 Core1 is not booting with both the boot options.

Regards,

Pranav

How do you define that the M4 Core1 does not boot? By absence of the UART output from it? Which UART do you assign to M4 Core1?

Please refer to the attached document, especially, to its Section 4.7.6 "Running the Arm Cortex-M4 image" for the information on how to build images and run the code on the M4 core(s) on various asymmetric multicore i.MX processors, including the i.MX8QM one.
