Can i.MX8MM run in lower frequency ?

Hi,

      I have a question that can i.mx8mm runing in 800MHz@A53 core ?

      Sometimes, we need to run lower frequency of A53 core to decrease power consumption.

Hi @jimmyli,

I hope you are doing well.

One needs to add opp table points in imx8mm.dtsi for lower frequency support.

Please refer to a53_opp_table node in /arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mm.dtsi

One can refer to the patch mentioned in https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors/Lower-CPU-frequency-on-imx8mm/td-p/955456

Please also add the PLL rate for lower frequency in /drivers/clk/imx/clk-pll14xx.c
